 Welcome back guys!!!! So todays blog is on a peer review. Peer reviews are important because the peer will see maybe something you wont. It gives a great perspective and can help your piece become better.  With my video I knew there was a lot that could be done but I felt as what I gave was pretty solid. When editing it was a little tricky but I overall overcame that obstacle. A challenging obstacle was more so the filming aspect. Getting the different angles and trying to get the dialogue right so everything could be somewhat perfect.  Peer Review Now when allowing my peer to watch the video I created I didn’t say anything and just showed them the video. This allowed for no bias and a wave of feedback that may have been altered. When getting feedback it is best for no altering opinions so the advice can help create something better.  While they watched the video they said it was overall great but had some ideas on what to change.  Welcome back!! Editing is a big part of any production process. When I edited the first time, there were a lot of changes made. I changed the brightness and lighting because of the way it was in the filmed videos. I also changed the sound and pitch and but background music over the dialogue. This was all for the best interest of each scene. Perfection is what I wanted the movie to be since the acting was not. Editing can fix what acting couldn't.  When I first finished editing it seemed like there was nothing to fix. After saving and rewatching I noticed there were a few things to fix. When I first watched even though on Cap-cut it said I made the time I didn't. This called for adding more to make the time. Once I added in another clip and edited it nice it seemed like the video was almost done. That is until I noticed the watermark.  Heyyyy guys welcome backk!!! Now with editing there are a lot of different aspects as previously mentioned. In this blog im going to be explaining the different things I did to make the movie. Now in the beginning there is a scene of the title. This is important because to create this I had to make an introduction. The introduction videos of us talking did not make sense to have as the opening. It was shown that it would be better to create a video with the title in it so that it would be up front what the movie was called.  To create this, I wanted to give a scary vibe with the background and the text. For the text, I used a drippy font that most horror movies have. The font is what tells the audience the movie will be scary. Also the cover shot of the branches is a common sight for horror.  Hey guys, I am back!!  Now the movie genre chosen was horror. In horror the music chosen is crucial in scaring an audiene. Yes the acting needs to be great and give a real scary vibe but the music is a factor.  When watching Halloween, The Nun and IT what do all these movies have in common. If you said they all have some way of incorporating scary and suspenseful music into certain scenes then you would be correct. The music adds thriller and suspense. It plays with a part of the brain that brings the emotion out yet keeps you watching. The music I used was scary and suspenseful music. The research: Now to find the music was a little tricky. I searched on google ‘Scary music’. Now you may be thinking how would this have been tricky. When googling what I wanted, I had a certain idea in mind. WELCOME TO TODAYS BLOG Hi and I am back with another editing blog. Now even though it seems like there may be a lot of editing blogs, editing takes a while. Editing takes a lot if you want things to be perfect.  Another aspect of editing was the sound. In the videos, there was a lot of dialogue. Even though some of the videos needed the dialogue, I had to add music to it. This is important because the sound conflicts with each other so it is important to equalize them with each other. To do so you have to click on the video and then press the volume. This is important because it may take a minute go find the right volumes that go with each other. Editing is about trial and error. So at first I had the dialogue too high. This was important because it was ruining the quality and adding confusion. With the talking over the music, I could not understand what was going on.So then I realized I had to keep playing with the volume on the video and music until it was understandable. I reali...

 IM BACKK!! Now stated in the previous blog, editing is key. Every time I edit something I learn something new. As I said, editing is key to bring a movie together. Now I said I editing to make videos shorter but there is more to that. When filming, in the video there were phrases such as, cut and action being used.  This is important because it let which person in the scene know when to start. This was captured in the video and was also another reason I had to shorten it. In the movie, saying “Cut” and “Action” did not need to be captured. It would have thrown it off and made no sense to the film.  Another thing edited was the lighting. Even though it was light outside when filmed, I had to fix what the light captured. Since it was not too sunny but had light, some scenes were darker than others. Now I know even though it was horror and filmed in the day, why was that so.  WELCOME BACKK Now today's blog is going to be about editing. Yes filming is key to a movie but editing is what puts everything together. When editing, it gives the essence of adding what the film couldn’t like text. When first recording, I knew a lot of editing would have to be done. In the last video I realized a lot of over recording was done and I knew it was a possibity this time.  When getting all of the videos it was seemed to be too much. First I edited each to make them shorter to see if the message in each would still make senses. When editing, if you shorten it, it may take away from the video seeming rushed. Another thing I did was try and change the time. At first I tried to fasten it but then the videos looked a little bit silly. After deciding that fastening and shortening the videos wouldn’t work then I had to take some videos out.  Now each of the videos filmed had an important part to the story it was hard picking which ones.  WELCOMEE BACKKK!!!! Now even though filming was great, there were things not mentioned. I mentioned the tension and the emotions that caught us as a group but not other reasons.  There were times of re shooting because of things in the way. The movie was set to be at my house and even though I cleaned everything up some things were in the way. Now in some of the videos you can see clothes in the background. This is normal as it is a house but before being rerecorded there were other things in the way. Things that related to me with location were in the scenes and that wasn’t wanted. Thats when I decided to re-film the scenes set on the couch. Also troubling from different angles so too much was not showing as the first time.  Another thing that contributed to some re-filming is that a scene that may have been put in the movie had a few disturbances.  Hey guys im back with an interesting blog!! The film Murder Mystery is bringing comedy and horror as a mixture. When deciding how I needed to film, the scheduling was essential. Even though the scheduling was figured out before sometimes life happens. There was a lot of disagreement when meeting up to film and time was of the essence. When I filmed a previous project with my group scheduling wasn't as hard since I wasn't as locked in with my job. I add this in to say this was crucial for the filming process.  When finally agreeing on a day to film everything was put into place. Once we got the schedule, the script needed to be changed. When creating a film it is great to add in that what is written in a script may not make it to the filming process. When it got to filming it was quickly realized that I wouldn't need all the scenes my group and I created. When first filming it was hard to be serious and not laugh.  Welcome back!!!!!  Now as stated in the previous blog some hardships were faced. One that I didn't mention was group disagreements. When in a group sometimes tension can run high and be difficult with working with each other. Now even though filming went ok it could have been better. I stated the scheduling made a lot of things difficult which led to some arguments. Now these arguments led tension that were not hashed out until the day of filming. While filming, I wanted our acting to be beyond surface level. This was impossible with the anger that was fueling the room. To be able to film I had to get everything off of the table. Two members weren't seeing eye to eye and in order to not show it while recording a discussion was prompted. HELLO, WHAT’S UPPPP!!!! Today we will be sketching some title designs for our opening sequence. Since our movie is in the horror genre, I wanted to stay true to the conventions of giving it an authentic feel. Based on our pitch, we decided that our title is going to be called “Murder Mystery”. With our main title (working title) , I want the majority of the fonts seen to be red. I also want to add a drippy effect to the letters, resembling blood in a way for that scary aspect.   MURDER MYSTERY! For the color, as I said I want the font to be about dark reddish color for our main title. For certain credits, like the directed by, etc. the color will be dark and bold for example   AGM PRODUCTIONS.  I also wanted to be creative and make some of the titles different sizes within one word, such as  HoRrOR or hOrRoR.  It all depends on the color of our background.  The size of the font is important so that the audience is able to read the credits clearly. Welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm going to go even further into the planning of how my group's opening scene came to be. Although planning this was so fun, there was also a lot of layers to it. I'll start by talking about our location. When first discussing about our location, we knew that it would have to be somewhere of a location region as well as a mall where people visit frequently. After conversing about it  we decided on Sawgrass Mall. We were satisfied with that at first the realized that we had an issue.  What we wanted to do would require us to be in a smaller and more confined room. After realizing that, we decided to back on the scratch board and make some compromises. With only a few minutes of deliberating, we decided to use a groupmates' house. HEYYYY IM BACKKKK!!!!!  When picking the genre, it was a must to do horror. After talking with the group horror would be the best bec ause it can go in so many directions. When you watch movies, some horror movies can have a touch of romance or comedy, so it just doesn't limit you to the scary aspect. When brainstorming it was between friends killing another or a random murder and honestly script wise would be better for the friend killing another. So essentially what the script is that friends are hanging out when suddenly it goes crazy.  Welcome backkkkkk!!!!! Today we are researching opening sequences to movies. As you know our genre is horror….so let’s get into it!!! The movie I’ll be looking at is “Terrified”. A film made in 1963 by Paul Julian, it is known as one of the most ambiguous and haunting title sequences of his time. By being apart of the golden age of American film productions. Let’s dig deeper into its conventions. 1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequence? During the opening sequence, the names of the actors were displayed as well as the different characters and directors/ producers were recognized.
