WELCOME TO TODAYS BLOG Hi and I am back with another editing blog. Now even though it seems like there may be a lot of editing blogs, editing takes a while. Editing takes a lot if you want things to be perfect. Another aspect of editing was the sound. In the videos, there was a lot of dialogue. Even though some of the videos needed the dialogue, I had to add music to it. This is important because the sound conflicts with each other so it is important to equalize them with each other. To do so you have to click on the video and then press the volume. This is important because it may take a minute go find the right volumes that go with each other. Editing is about trial and error. So at first I had the dialogue too high. This was important because it was ruining the quality and adding confusion. With the talking over the music, I could not understand what was going on.So then I realized I had to keep playing with the volume on the video and music until it was understandable. I reali...
Welcome back to my blog!!! It's been some time. Today I want to gush to you all about this new website I found. As I was conducting research for my short film, I stumbled upon Art of the Title. When I first clicked on the website, I am met with a colorful graphic of a woman's face. This is the graphic introducing the director and screenwriter Chloe Okuno's favorite title sequences. As I scroll through the website it features several opening titles and articles. I chose this website because it is easy to navigate. On the right hand side of the site, it offers options to look through several opening sequences. For an even wider selection, it allows you to look through an endless amount of your favorite designers and studios. If you still can not find your selection you are welcomed to search for it in the search box of the website. The videos on the website are of high quality and offer captions to better enjoy the clip. The website also goes into further detail of the m...
Hey, Hey, welcome back! After recording it was time to piece everything together. The editing app was decided to stick to Capcut. While editing I didn't want to have to learn a new software so Capcut was the best choice. I was already familiar with it so it just made everything simpler. When deciding on the song we needed one that fit the vibe and when editing I decided to use the semi beginning of the song. The beginning of the song had too much intro while I wanted it straight to the point. I overlapped it a bit though so that it didn't just roughly go into the song without somewhat of an intro. While filming I didn't take into consideration the time limit as I should have. Some of the videos were pretty long in seconds so I had to cut it down. Having to edit some of each clips to 10 seconds or less without getting the main subject out. I also had to cut videos into two and put them together to cut the middle out as it wasn't important. With the video I had to cut i...
